About P.U.D.

A young man wearing a black bucket hat, silver chain, and a black T-shirt with a daisy graphic and the text 'Pushing Up Daisies' standing near a white van in an urban alley.

Pushing Up Daisies has been a long time in the works for me. I first came up with the daisy design a few years ago and thought it would make a good motif for a clothing line. I told myself I’d get around to it soon. But the days became weeks, the weeks became months, and the months became years. Self-doubt, fear of failure, and countless “what-ifs” held me back from ever actually putting it out into the world.

It was only in recent months when ill health left me unable to work (and consequently in a rather dire financial situation) that push finally came to shove and I decided that it was now or never. After all, if you never try, you’ve already failed. This could all still go nowhere (and the self-doubting voices in the back of my head continue to try to convince me that it definitely won’t), but it could also go somewhere, and that’s a chance I need to finally allow myself to take.

So here it finally is, Pushing Up Daisies Apparel, out there in the world at last. It’s honestly pretty scary, putting yourself and your work out into the world like this. But I’ve reasoned with myself that the worst that can really happen is that people don’t love the designs I make, and that’s completely fine.
